Caregiver for Dörfles-Esbach

Care for a 91-year-old gentleman living alone, weighing 90 kg and measuring 182 cm, who suffers from moderately advanced dementia, general senile weakness, and has a suprapubic urinary catheter (through the abdominal wall). He recognizes familiar people and is well-oriented in his home environment, but his orientation in time is impaired. Mentally, he is calm and can communicate his needs. He moves independently, or with the aid of a walking stick. He only requires occasional support when walking. He can also manage stairs. Light assistance is sufficient for transfers, and the senior is cooperative. He needs help with personal hygiene, showering or bathing, shaving, brushing teeth, dressing, and using the toilet. During the day, he uses a thigh collection bag, and at night, a larger night bag by the bed. He is independent with eating but requires guidance and supervision. Care also includes supporting mobility, with joint walks in the garden or the surroundings, depending on his health condition. The caregiver is responsible for complete household management, meal preparation, dining together, shopping, cleaning, and laundry. Shops are approximately a five-minute walk away, or the bus to town can be used. A bath lift is available in the household. Night work is not typically required, only in exceptional situations. Free time is by agreement.
