Caregiver Gaggenau

Care for a 65-year-old gentleman with one-sided paralysis, 175 cm tall, 86 kg, with mobility impairment. The gentleman has had multiple strokes, has high blood pressure and diabetes requiring insulin. The gentleman speaks slowly, is depressed, takes medication, and is incontinent of urine, using diaper briefs. The gentleman requires transfer to a wheelchair several times a day, assistance with hygiene, hair washing, shaving, dressing, changing incontinence materials (a toilet and shower chair are also available), food cut into small pieces, medication preparation, shared meals, walks, and social activities. Occasional night waking, also uses a urine bottle. The gentleman lives at home with his wife, who also requires care: hygiene assistance, showering twice a week, dressing, and uses diapers. Household management, cleaning, shopping, cooking, and laundry care are also needed. Children live in the house but have their own residences.
