Care for a self-sufficient 101-year-old lady, 56 kg, 154 cm, who moves around the house with the help of a wheelchair, also has a walker and a commode chair available. She suffers from mild dementia/Alzheimer's, has impaired short-term memory and difficulty with temporal orientation, but remains communicative. She is physically frail due to her age and the consequences of an injury. She has reduced hearing (does not use a hearing aid) but is otherwise in a generally stable health condition. She is incontinent, using diaper pants, pads, and protective sheets. Assistance is needed with personal hygiene, using the toilet, dressing, and transfers (with partial assistance – the lady can help). She eats independently. The caregiver prepares meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner – simple dishes as agreed), performs regular household chores such as cleaning, laundry (in the washing machine), shopping (e.g., at Lidl or Aldi – nearby). Tasks also include medication management, turning on the radio, evening TV watching (documentaries, travelogues, not commercial channels), spending time on the terrace or in the garden – it is important that the caregiver keeps the senior under constant observation. Major hygiene is provided by the nursing service in the morning. Night duty is not required. Lifting is sometimes necessary – the lady can actively cooperate. The senior's son, who has been caring for her until now, will be helpful for the first 2 days during the introduction period, then will only be available if needed via contact through the granddaughter.
