Care for an elderly married couple in their shared household. A 92-year-old lady, 47 kg, 157 cm, suffers from general frailty of old age and has a history of spinal fractures, for which she constantly wears a corset. She moves with the aid of a walker; her gait is unsteady, but currently, the risk of falling is relatively low. She has high blood pressure, which is treated with medication. Mentally, she is preserved for her age but is often sad and depressed. She is very hard of hearing, so it is necessary to speak loudly and clearly. She needs assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and daily activities. Showers are needed approximately once a week; other days, assistance with basic hygiene is required. She has an emergency button in the household. Medications need to be checked as needed, and their intake supervised. A 97-year-old gentleman, 55 kg, 160 cm, suffers from early dementia, heart failure, circulatory problems, and general frailty of old age. He has a pacemaker, is blind in one eye, and is very hard of hearing, using hearing aids. Both temporal and spatial orientation are partially impaired. He needs help getting up from lower chairs, with hygiene, dressing, and toileting. He has a rather authoritarian nature, so a caregiver with experience with dementia and a patient approach is needed. With him too, medication needs to be supervised, and assistance with daily functioning is required. He also has an emergency button in the household. The scope of work includes household management such as cooking, laundry, general cleaning, small shopping trips, and companionship for both seniors. Shops are within walking distance; larger weekly shopping is handled by a relative. A cleaning service also assists in the household. Care for hearing aids and social contact with the seniors are important. Doctor's appointments are currently managed by a former caregiver; during her absence, the caregiver takes over. Night duty may be necessary, especially for the gentleman, approximately 1-2 times per night for accompanying him to the toilet. Lifting is not required. Free time by agreement.
