Care for an 87-year-old elderly lady, 50 kg, 155 cm, who has dementia and depression. She has impaired short-term memory, poorer orientation in time, and sometimes in space. She becomes restless and may react loudly to criticism. She often cries during changes. She takes medication for depression, which helps her. The lady moves independently and has a walker available for walks. She manages personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting by herself. However, she needs a daily routine, guidance, and distraction. Joint games and meals are suitable. The caregiver, among other things, also cooks, shops, and does laundry, and the lady should be involved in household chores as much as possible. Once a week, she attends a day care center. Caregiving service is needed for compression stockings. The lady sleeps poorly and sometimes has nightmares. However, she does not require night assistance. Lifting is not necessary. Her husband, who has poor eyesight and hearing, also lives in the household. After a fall and a fractured vertebra, he is currently in the hospital and is scheduled for rehabilitation from August 11th. A private bathroom and a manual transmission car are available for the caregiver. Free time is by agreement.
