Care for a 42-year-old physically and mentally disabled client, 165 cm, 70 kg, who has been disabled since birth. The lady has spasticity, limited mobility in her left arm, uses an electric wheelchair for mobility, and cannot stand. She is not incontinent, only uses diapers for security at night. Night work is not required. The client requires assistance with transferring to the wheelchair using a lifting device, full assistance with dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, evening baths or showers, and partial assistance with meals. Meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and laundry are required. The client attends a day care center from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Escort to doctors and health therapies is required by appointment with the family and according to the weekly schedule. Shared meals, sufficient fluid intake, correct medication dosage, and spending time together. No night awakenings are required. The client's parents live in the same building in a separate apartment. The building has a ceiling lift and a pool. The caregiver has a small apartment directly in the building with her own bathroom.
