Care for a self-sufficient 69-year-old lady, 90 kg, 170 cm, who is bedridden after a stroke and currently confined to bed. She has paralysis on the left side of her body, is urinary incontinent, and wears diapers even during the day. She also has a stomach tube. Despite her condition, she can still turn herself in bed. She requires complete assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, using the toilet, and daily care. She accepts food with partial assistance, and adequate fluid intake must be monitored. Currently, all care, feeding, and rest take place in bed. She has a bedside table, allowing her to sit up in bed during meals. Daily mobilization is an important part of the care. The left arm and left leg need to be exercised and moved ten times once a day. The lady is expected to undergo further rehabilitation in the future to improve mobility so she can sit in a wheelchair again. The scope of work also includes meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry. Groceries are provided by the family. There are birds in the household; the family takes care of cleaning the cage; the caregiver only needs to refill food and water. Night duty is required once per night, mainly for changing diapers. Transfers and lifting are necessary for care; this involves complete transfers. The lady requires full-day assistance, supervision, and support with all regular daily activities. Free time is by arrangement.
