Care for an independently living 89-year-old gentleman, 68 kg, 170 cm, with mobility limitations. He needs assistance with standing up and sitting down, as he can no longer manage these tasks independently. He also requires help transferring to the toilet. He can only walk very slowly with a walker. A wheelchair, a toilet chair, and a mobile hoist are available, which assist with standing up and moving around the apartment. The client suffers from urinary and fecal incontinence. He uses diapers, which need to be changed approximately 5-6 times a day to prevent bedsores and skin irritation. The caregiver's tasks include complete assistance with hygiene, toileting, dressing and undressing, support with standing and walking, help with transfers (wheelchair) and walking. The client cooperates. Basic household chores such as cleaning and laundry are also part of the duties. The client must not eat fruit. He follows a diet to promote regular, firm stools. It is also necessary to supervise the regular intake of medications. Small shopping trips are possible on foot; larger purchases are handled by the daughter. Night work is not required, nor is lifting assistance necessary. There is an option for a full day off each week. A caregiver is always present on weekends.
