Caregiver Langenau

Care for an 87-year-old gentleman (72 kg, 182 cm) who suffers from dementia, frailty, and has had a stroke. He has also had a fall in the past. He is partially incontinent, especially at night, and uses incontinence aids, which he changes himself. Physically, he is still quite independent. He can get up, sit down, walk, and manage daily activities on his own. He is not bedridden, does not require lifting, or a special care bed. He has a shower chair available. Due to dementia, he has problems with orientation in time, place, and situations, but he is not aggressive, does not suffer from delusions or hallucinations, and has no tendency to wander off. He prefers a quiet environment and does not want to be constantly stimulated. He enjoys going for walks, watching television, spending time outdoors, and gardening. The caregiver's main tasks include supervising regular medication intake, accompanying him to medical appointments, providing companionship and supervision during the day. Assistance in maintaining his daily routine is also important. Night duty is not currently required. The gentleman lives in a family house with his wife. Relatives visit regularly, and additional household help is arranged approximately once a week. The caregiver will cook for three people, manage the general household, do shopping, laundry, ironing, and take care of the flowers. Shops are within walking distance. Free time is negotiable.
