Care for an elderly couple in their shared household. The wife is 69 years old, weighs 51 kg, and is 161 cm tall. She suffers from advanced dementia. Her husband, 84 years old, weighs 65 kg and is 180 cm tall. He recently broke a vertebra and is currently in a wheelchair, but is mentally fully sound. The wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia four years ago, and the disease is in an advanced stage. She is mobile on her own but requires constant supervision. She tends to wander off, so the home is secured, and neighbors are informed of the situation. She wears a tracking watch, but often takes it off. She has difficulty recognizing objects and does not always recognize her husband. Despite this, she is kind, calm, non-aggressive, and enjoys attention and company. Twice a week, she attends a day care center, always on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The wife is completely dependent on assistance with personal care. She needs full assistance with dressing, hygiene, toileting, and eating. She wears incontinence products that need to be changed. Assistance is also needed with administering medication in the morning and evening. The family cannot shower her, but with a calm and gentle approach, she might accept a caregiver better. She loves going for walks, to a cafe, or for cake. The husband is currently dependent on a wheelchair, but is mentally fully oriented and independent. He can be reserved towards new people initially, but appreciates active, hardworking, and self-reliant individuals. He manages most tasks himself: he washes himself, uses the toilet, and can entertain himself. He only needs assistance with transfers approximately 3-5 times a day. He can brace himself well with his hands and actively cooperates during transfers, so it only involves light physical assistance. It is expected that his mobility will continue to improve. Responsibilities include household management for two people, such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry. On Mondays and Thursdays, home assistance is provided. Night work is not required. The wife sleeps through the night. Free time is negotiable. A car is available.
