Care for a 70-year-old, independently living senior with frontotemporal dementia (Pick's disease). The senior (160 cm, 62 kg) has significantly limited communication, speaking only a few words ("yes", "exactly", "no"). She has a hearing aid, which she rarely uses. She has limited mobility, with weakness on the right side of her body, and requires ample time and patience during movement. There is a risk of falls. She needs assistance and supervision when walking, standing up, transferring, and using stairs. She uses a commode chair for toileting and a wheelchair outside the home. The carer assists with personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, fluid intake, shopping, cleaning, and laundry care. The care also includes companionship, maintaining a daily routine, and accompanying her to doctor's appointments, physiotherapy, and speech therapy. Night work is not required. The senior goes to sleep between approximately 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM. An outpatient care service visits once a week. The son does not live in the household but will help if needed.
