Caregiver Munich

Care for a 92-year-old lady living alone, 64 kg, 163 cm, suffering from Parkinson's disease, depression, osteoarthritis, incontinence, and general physical weakness. Mentally, she is oriented to person and place, but has some difficulty with orientation in time. She is currently in the hospital or rehabilitation. The lady has hearing and vision impairments and wears glasses. She can only move very short distances; her gait is unsteady, and there is a risk of falling. She cannot stand independently. She uses a walker, a wheelchair, a bedside commode, and a stairlift. She can cooperate somewhat during transfers. She needs assistance with personal hygiene, showering, skin care, hair care, oral hygiene, denture care, intimate hygiene, and dressing. She uses incontinence products for both urine and stool. Foot care is provided by a podiatrist. She is partially independent with eating and drinking. Food needs to be cut into smaller pieces, and fluid intake should be monitored as she drinks little. She prefers flour-based dishes, potatoes, rice, minced meat, chicken, and sausages. She enjoys drinking juices, mineral water, and lemonade. She sleeps approximately from 8 PM to 8 AM and rests for about an hour in the afternoon. Nighttime awakenings are occasional, about once per night. She cannot get out of bed by herself, so using the bedside commode at night is recommended. The lady is sociable, patient, modest, and rather quiet in nature. She enjoys watching television and spending time in the garden. The family considers supervision, companionship, and conversation to be most important. The scope of work includes assistance with basic care, meal preparation, shopping, laundry, household cleaning, and spending time together. Medications are prepared by the family. Nursing services currently provide bathing, personal hygiene, and assistance with dressing once or twice a day, but this service will be terminated. Shops and a public transport stop are approximately a 10-minute walk away. The family visits the lady every day and provides regular help so the caregiver can rest. Free time is by agreement.
