Care for an 88-year-old lady, 70 kg, 170 cm, with Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, atrial fibrillation, and low blood pressure. She has an increased risk of falls. She does not have dementia and is fully oriented. The lady mainly uses a walker and mostly walks independently. She uses a wheelchair during dizzy spells. She gets up without assistance. She needs partial help with dressing, hygiene, showering, and toileting. She eats independently and is a vegetarian. Ensure adequate fluid intake. Compression stockings are provided by the nursing service. Medications are prepared by the family. The caregiver also handles cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, general household help, companionship, and daily routine management. Regular shopping is available on foot; larger purchases are arranged by the family. A daytime companion also visits the lady in the afternoon. The husband, who does not require care, lives in the home. The caregiver manages the household for him as well and aims to relieve him of the burden of caring for his wife. Night assistance is needed approximately 2 times per night; some nights it is not needed at all. A commode chair is available. Cameras are installed in the living room with the kitchen and in the hallway near the entrance. A private bathroom is available for the caregiver. Free time is by agreement.
