Care for a 91-year-old, independently living elderly lady (64 kg, 170 cm) post-stroke. The lady moves with a walker. She is fully oriented, sociable, and communicative. She has mild heart failure, wears compression stockings which are applied by the care service. Incontinence occurs rarely; she uses the toilet independently. She uses a hearing aid. Night assistance is almost unnecessary (at most once per night, with monitoring via baby monitor). She is mostly independent with dressing and personal hygiene but needs help with showering and hair washing. Assistance is needed with cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping together. She chooses her meals herself, and food is prepared together. The caregiver accompanies her to medical appointments, official errands, and visits to friends. Short walks are important to maintain mobility. Care also includes watering plants and feeding birds and goldfish during warmer months. At night, the door should be left open in case of need.
