Caregiver Sindelfingen

Care for a 97-year-old lady living alone, 54 kg, 158 cm, who moves with the help of a walker and only goes out accompanied. She suffers from heart failure, general senile weakness, reduced kidney function, and liver problems. She gets tired quickly, has very poor stamina, and uses oxygen therapy as needed, with both mobile and stationary equipment available. She occasionally has swollen legs that require elevation and gentle massage. She does not have dementia; her hearing is good with a hearing aid, but her eyesight is significantly impaired due to macular degeneration, and she uses a magnifying glass for reading. The lady can stand up on her own; she needs assistance when using stairs. She manages meals and toileting independently. She requires partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene, especially with showering, washing her hair, and getting in and out of the shower. The caregiver's presence and the feeling of security are important. It is necessary to ensure regular meals and adequate fluid intake. Care includes supervising medication intake (prepared by her daughter), accompanying her to the doctor by arrangement with the family, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining her daily routine. The job also includes household management, such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping; shops are within walking distance. Companionship, communication, and leisure activities are an important part of the role, such as walks, board games, or cooking/baking together. The lady visits a day center once a week. Her daughter visits regularly and is present in person approximately every four weeks. Night duty and heavy lifting are not required.
