Care for an 86-year-old lady, 160 cm and 90 kg. The lady is bedridden, suffers from advanced dementia/Alzheimer's, and is temporally and spatially disoriented. Due to dementia, she is afraid of strangers, which is why she is resistant and opposes everything. She may even lash out with her hands, but this usually subsides after 5 minutes. Therefore, she needs patience and time to get used to someone new. The lady is also incontinent. She cannot walk and uses a wheelchair. She has problems with her intervertebral discs and must be moved from her chair or wheelchair to a toilet chair and taken to the bathroom every 2 hours. The 2-hour interval must be observed. A caregiver visits daily from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for basic care (during which time the caregiver has a break). The lady sleeps for about 2 hours each day. The caregiver assists with dressing, prepares medications, cooks lunch and prepares meals, takes care of the household, helps with personal hygiene, standing/sitting, and accompanies her to the toilet. Conversations with the lady are necessary (e.g., about what to cook). Every morning, it is necessary to transfer the lady from bed to the toilet and help her change her incontinence briefs. At 8:30 AM, there is a shared breakfast (e.g., bread with tea). Aids such as a lift are available. Night work is not required; lifting is required. The caregiver has 1 day off (by agreement, e.g., every Saturday). The daughter and her husband live on the upper floor. The caregiver has a private bathroom.
