Care for an 87-year-old lady living alone. She is a widow and has early-stage dementia, but she doesn't know or want to know about it. She lives alone in a house in the village of Puth, province of Limburg. She is still quite independent. She moves around the house on her own, uses a walker outside the house, and can do some household tasks (put away dishes, peel potatoes, etc.). She wakes up around 7:30 AM and goes to bed around 10:00 PM. She enjoys walking, watching TV, knitting, and reading newspapers. She showers twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday). The caregiver assists her with this. She uses the toilet independently but wears Tena pads just in case. She prefers less meat and likes pasta with vegetables. She is allergic to bell peppers (but can tolerate powdered pepper). She has physiotherapy once a week. Once every two weeks, she goes to the market and for coffee with a volunteer. Occasionally, she also attends the women's club in her village and participates in various activities. Her daughter lives right next door.
