Care for a self-sufficient 93-year-old gentleman (170 cm, 65 kg). The senior does not suffer from dementia. He is blind, therefore he needs help with orientation in the household, and it is important that all items remain in their place and passages are always clear. He spends most of the day in bed, so it is advisable to motivate him to move. He can no longer manage stairs and does not go out of the house. The senior needs partial assistance with dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, using the toilet, transfers, and during meals. He eats independently, but needs help with the last bites and it is necessary to monitor adequate fluid intake. He is urine incontinent and uses a urinary condom, but maintains bowel control. The caregiver's tasks also include meal preparation, shopping, general household management, cleaning, laundry, minor errands, administering medication as prescribed by the doctor, and providing companionship. A doctor visits the household regularly.
