He suffers from urinary incontinence and uses incontinence briefs. The gentleman needs help with dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting, always only to the extent of partial assistance. It is necessary to supervise the regular changing of clothes, assist with showering every two days, help when entering the shower or bath, and assist with changing incontinence products as needed. He eats independently, but supervision is needed to ensure adequate fluid intake and regular meals. He visits a day center once a week. The caregiver ensures medication is administered, cooks, shops, does laundry, cleans, performs general household chores, accompanies him on walks, engages in social activities, and maintains his daily routine. Smaller shopping trips are accessible on foot; larger ones are arranged in agreement with the family. The gentleman's wife also lives in the household and does not require care.
