Caregiver Sinzig

Care for a 90-year-old lady, 145 cm tall, 45 kg. She moves with the help of a wheelchair. In 2023, she suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on the left side. A physiotherapist and occupational therapist visit the home. She is partially incontinent and wears diapers at night. She suffers from high blood pressure. She requires partial assistance with dressing and undressing, and with personal hygiene (she can wash her face herself). She further needs full assistance with toileting, transfers to and from the wheelchair and stairlift, as well as to and from her armchair. She can stand on her own for a short time. A nursing service also visits the home 5 times a week to put on her compression stockings; the caregiver then removes them. Assistance is needed for walks in the wheelchair and supervision of medication intake. Adherence to the daily schedule: 6:30 AM – 6:45 AM: Waking up, diaper change, intimate hygiene in bed. 6:45 AM – 7:00 AM: Nursing service. 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM: Washing in the bathroom and dressing. 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Breakfast. 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Gymnastics. 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Sleep. 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch. 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Rest, entertainment. 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Dinner. 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM: TV, entertainment. Assistance with lifting using a hoist is required; she is cooperative and can take a few steps. Night work is not required. Within the household, meal preparation for both individuals, cooking healthy meals, cleaning, laundry, and shopping (10 minutes on foot; alternatively, family can do the shopping) are needed. Assistance visits the household once a week.
