Care for a independently living 71-year-old elderly lady, 55 kg, 170 cm, who moves independently but requires moderate support when walking and standing. She suffers from dementia/Alzheimer's and high blood pressure. Her short-term memory is impaired, and her level of disorientation varies depending on the day. She is oriented in space but has problems with time orientation. Following the recent loss of her husband during a holiday, she fell into a state of delirium. She is unable to be left alone and requires constant presence and supervision. She takes medication, which requires reminding. The lady can manage dressing, eating, and using the toilet independently. Assistance is needed with personal hygiene (especially motivation for showering) and with stability while walking. Daily care includes meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and other common household chores. Providing companionship, conversation, and mental stimulation is also important. Night work is not regular, only required occasionally, if needed, or in case of an emergency. Lifting is not necessary. Patient and empathetic communication is important.
