Care for an independently living 71-year-old elderly lady, 55 kg, 170 cm, who moves independently but requires slight support when walking and standing. She suffers from dementia/Alzheimer's and high blood pressure. Her short-term memory is impaired, and her level of disorientation varies depending on the day; she is oriented in space but has difficulties with time orientation. Following the recent loss of her husband during a vacation, she experienced delirium. She is unable to be left alone and requires constant presence and supervision. She takes medication, which she needs to be reminded about. The lady manages dressing, eating, and using the toilet independently. Assistance is needed with personal hygiene (especially motivation for showering) and with stabilizing her while walking. Daily care includes meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and other common household chores. It is also important to provide companionship, conversation, and mental stimulation. Night duty is not regular, only required exceptionally, if needed, or in case of an emergency. Lifting is not necessary. Patient and empathetic communication is important.
