Caregiver Schuld

Care for a 90-year-old lady, 67 kg, 160 cm, who moves around the house with the help of a cane and uses a walker outdoors. She suffers from advanced dementia/Alzheimer's and general frailty of old age. She still has lucid moments, but forgetfulness and temporal disorientation occur. She has had a glass eye for 70-80 years, which does not limit her in any way. The lady is able to eat independently, but requires partial assistance with dressing, hygiene, and using the toilet. Assistance is needed when using the toilet (sitting down), she wears incontinence aids that need changing, and a commode chair is available. Assistance is also needed with showering, and a shower chair is available. She needs support when standing and walking. Medication is prepared for her in the morning by the health service. Care also includes companionship, communication, and walks, which are only possible when accompanied. The lady has a difficult personality, but can also be sociable, so patience is important. The scope of work also includes household management for two people, i.e., cleaning and laundry care. Shopping is handled by the daughter-in-law, who lives in the house but is busy with work. Night work is not regular; the lady mostly sleeps through the night. She cooperates with handling, requiring light to moderate assistance, for example, offering a hand when getting up. The lady has a parakeet.
